Behind the healing, Meet Alece
I’m Alece Coleman, LCSW, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Supervisor in New Jersey, licensed to practice in New Jersey, Georgia, and Florida. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work, with postgraduate training and certification in Perinatal and Postpartum mood disorders, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
My clinical focus is helping you move from emotional distress toward stability, clarity, and symptom reduction through structured, evidence-based care. I specialize in Solution-Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy, approaches that emphasize strengths, meaning-making, and forward movement rather than prolonged focus on pathology. These models are especially effective for individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or defined by their symptoms and are seeking practical, goal-oriented change.
Therapy with me is collaborative, intentional, and outcome-focused. We clarify treatment goals, identify patterns maintaining distress, and build realistic strategies that support improved functioning. Narrative Therapy is used to help you separate yourself from the problem and reshape limiting beliefs, while Solution-Focused therapy highlight existing strengths and small, achievable steps that lead to measurable progress.
As a Christian clinician, I integrate biblically informed principles such as hope, restoration, and purpose when aligned with a client’s values and goals. Faith is never imposed, but when welcomed, it can serve as a meaningful framework for resilience and healing.
My goal is to provide competent, compassionate, and results-oriented care that supports the whole person mind, body, and spirit while helping clients move from distress toward hope and improved quality of life.
