My Approach

My Therapy Style

At Coleman Therapy Collective, I use a Narrative Therapy approach to support clients experiencing a range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, fear, guilt, shame, and anger. Narrative therapy allows clients to separate themselves from their problems and explore how their personal stories have been shaped by experiences, relationships, and cultural influences.

In this collaborative process, I help clients identify dominant narratives that may limit their sense of possibility and assist them in developing alternative stories grounded in their strengths, values, and preferred identities.

When it feels appropriate and is aligned with a client’s personal beliefs, I also integrate a biblical framework into our work. This may include exploring faith-based themes such as grace, hope, identity, forgiveness, and purpose, offering biblical perspectives that can support healing and meaning-making. I ensure that any use of biblical material is client-led, respectful, and tailored to their comfort level, so that spiritual integration enhances, rather than directs the therapeutic process.

Who I Help

I work with adult women and men who often feel overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in burnout, or weighed down by depression. You might be a young professional trying to figure out where you belong, a mother worn out by constant demands, or newly married and quietly grieving how life has shifted. In our sessions, you will learn practical tools to manage difficult emotions, build stronger connections, and develop new patterns that bring hope and healing.

Who Virtual Therapy Is For

Virtual therapy is ideal for men and women who want convenient, accessible counseling from the comfort of home or another safe space. Whether you have a hectic schedule, limited local options, or prefer privacy, virtual sessions fit easily into your life.

What to Expect in Virtual Sessions

In virtual therapy, you’ll experience the same compassionate, professional care as in-person counseling. Using a secure, confidential platform, we connect through video or phone to explore your challenges, build coping skills, and grow in faith and emotional health.

How to Get Started

Starting virtual therapy is simple. After a brief intake, you’ll schedule sessions that work for you. Whether it’s your first time in counseling or a return to therapy, I’ll support you every step with warmth, respect, and a faith-centered approach.

What Clients are Saying

“I was nervous to start therapy because I didn’t want to feel judged for my struggles. I’ve been in and out of church and needed a space to process my mental health as well as discuss my faith. From the very first session, I felt completely accepted and understood. Alece created a safe space where I could share everything on my heart without fear. She also helped me reconnect with my faith in ways that gave me real hope and practical tools to handle life’s stress.”

Former Client

“Finding a therapist who understands my culture and values was so important to me. Alece created a space where I never felt like I had to leave parts of myself outside the therapy room. We could discuss ANYTHING. Her practical tools to actually help my anxiety, helped me heal in a way I didn’t think was possible.”
